Database Developer (Brighton, UK)

Requirements

We’re looking for a Database Developer (ETL/Analysis) to join our Data Team. You will be working with your team to transform data from new clients in to our SQL estate, perform bespoke pieces of data analysis to support both internal and client-facing reports, and to seek out ways to improve our systems and processes by way of automation.

Essential skills you will need are: -

  • In-depth experience migrating data using ETL technologies (2 years +).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2012 or above (2 years +).
  • Experience writing TSQL (2 years +).
  • Experience producing complex analysis around business requirements.
  • Proficiency in script writing, ideally Powershell.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to support data migrations outside of core business hours.

Experience of the following areas would also be desirable: -

  • Working with AWS services (RDS, DMS, EC2) to manage databases.
  • Experience of Database Administration.
  • Experience with Postgres & MySQL.
  • Knowledge of Python and/or Bash scripting.

You may be a Junior Database Developer looking for the next step in your career, with experience in migrating, developing and building databases, or an ETL Developer wanting to expand your knowledge and gain more responsibility in a growing team.
