CV Magnet is off to a fantastic start, with nearly 1000 new CVs uploaded to the site in the first 24 hours, an incredible achievement.
CV Magnet, which was soft-launched on 3rd August, is a faster and easier way for job seekers to market themselves on STV Jobs, the online recruitment service from Scottish broadcaster STV, with thousands of recruiters across Scotland set to search the database to find their ideal candidate.
Key features include a tool for job seekers to track how many times their CV has been viewed or downloaded from the site, and the opportunity to upload CVs in a variety of formats or to import from online sources such as LinkedIn. The simple upload process has been carefully designed to make it as easy as possible for job seekers to create an optimised profile that can easily be found by relevant recruiters. Job seekers remain firmly in control of their privacy via settings that determine the visibility of their information within the CV database, including the ability to “hide” their profile from specific recruiters.
The CV Magnet service will open to recruiters in September. Recruiters will be able to search candidate profiles to make quick and accurate buying decisions saving time and money. There are also options to locate suitable candidates based on a job description, or even another CV document. Search results display an anonymous full CV view and include a percentage score based on the search criteria.
STV Jobs originally launched on the Madgex job board platform in February 2009 and has since established a dominant position in the Scottish online recruitment market. Each month STV Jobs attracts 1.5 million unique users, 93% of these within Scotland.
