Online directory from Madgex gives LexisNexis Butterworths additional revenue streams

Madgex, the UK market leader in B2B online publishing systems, has worked with LexisNexis Butterworths Group to develop an online directory of suppliers for the company's Health and Safety at Work magazine. It provides an additional platform for LexisNexis Butterworths to attract new suppliers and creates a revenue stream via the paid-for entries.
The directory is based on the products and services section of Health and Safety at Work, and is the first step in creating a full online version of the monthly magazine. It provides visitors with a list of registered suppliers that offer products and services in the health and safety sector. Customer enquiries can be made through the directory itself or via links to the homepages of suppliers. Madgex has also incorporated a 'Quick Quote' tool, which sends requests from visitors to all suppliers in the directory who offer the specified product or service.
Madgex has ensured additional revenue for LexisNexis Butterworths via a Premium supplier option in which suppliers pay a supplement to include their logo and company information in the directory. In addition, a monthly 'featured product' section provides suppliers with space to further advertise specific products and services.
Dan Meadows, commercial director at Madgex, says: "The supplier directory provides LexisNexis Butterworths with a brand new revenue stream, and is the first step to getting the entire Health and Safety at Work title online. LexisNexis Butterworths knew we could deliver having seen us work successfully with its affiliate, Reed Business Information, on its Taxation title last year."
LexisNexis Butterworths will begin promotion of the directory amongst suppliers in early July.
