Leading publishers Haymarket and Incisive are the latest Madgex clients to migrate to the fully responsive Madgex platform. Launched in January, the responsive product continues to be a huge success with clients, all of which are keen to upgrade, in order to meet the demands of their ever increasingly mobile audiences.

Haymarket have upgraded 7 of their leading job boards, including their award winning site Brand Republic, PR Week Jobs and Media Week Jobs. Additionally, business publisher Incisive have re-launched their sites JobsinRisk, Accountancy Age Jobs and Professional Pensions Jobs.

Stephen Dodds, Head of Online Product Marketing for Incisive, explained the company’s decision to upgrade to our new platform -

“As well the significant growth in jobseekers using mobile devices to access our job sites, there are plenty of other, well-documented reasons for moving our sites to a responsive design. Whilst we are of course happy to benefit from any advantage that these may give us, the overriding, very straightforward motive for us was to improve the experience for our users so that they could find the right job quickly and easily no matter the device they may be using.”

As the number of jobseekers using mobile devices continues to grow, the issues surrounding accessibility and usability remain at the forefront of the recruitment industry. Figures suggest that up to 88% of job seekers are using multiple devices to search for employment, so it is vital that job boards adopt technology solutions that can keep pace with this demand. Studies have found that up to 40 percent of mobile candidates abandon application processes that are not optimised for mobile. Therefore, it is essential to get it right.

Madgex’s dynamic design renders to any device without compromising functionality, providing users with a high quality and consistent experience. Job seekers can enjoy a smooth, cohesive user experience, allowing a seamless search and the ability to apply for jobs across a range of devices. Through improved design and usability, candidates can browse jobs as easily on the move as they can on any desktop device.

Early figures from Madgex clients’ are already showing increased job seeker activity and improved application rates - it is no surprise that serious recruiters are moving into the responsive space. With the Madgex responsive design, technology that has been designed to withstand the increasing range of devices entering the market, clients are supported with an enduring, innovative solution.

To remain competitive and to be a job seeker’s destination of choice, job boards must align themselves with audience expectations and provide a consistent user experience, or risk losing applicants and revenues.
