We are very proud to announce that Madgex have been ranked in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work for in 2014. A 52nd placement on the prestigious list, which recognises companies achieving an exceptional level of employee engagement was a great result.

A total of 897 organisations entered the survey this year, with over 250,000 employees taking part in a rigorous survey to ascertain their satisfaction across a number of factors deemed to contribute to a great workplace. Areas assessed included Leadership, Wellbeing, Personal Growth, and Fair Deal evaluations.

The results of the survey found Madgex staff to be extremely happy with their work and home life balance, achieving a top-two score of 87%. Madgex employees felt that their wellbeing was cared for (78%) and they were really happy with their pay and other benefits (82%).

Explaining the approach to flexible working, Madgex’s HR Director, Hanna Smith commented “It’s about getting the job done, in the right way and efficiently, but if you can do that at home, in shorter hours or outside core hours then that’s fine, so long as you’re open and honest with the team. The majority of our workforce have young families, so we’re totally understanding if private life sometimes has to be a priority.”

Madgex offers a wide range of benefits to its’ staff such as a free cash plan from Simplyhealth which covers various health treatments, to discretionary bonus payments and also spot prizes of champagne and £50 vouchers to high achievers. Along with monthly wellbeing initiatives and alternate “cake, salad and cheese” Fridays makes Madgex a great place to work.
