Drapersjobs.com (Niche Job Board of the Year – OnRec Awards 2012), has seen its highest number of visitors in September with 78,621 unique users.

September’s record month saw an 11.2% increase year on year, and follows the re-launch of the site in March 2011. The streamlined sign-up functionality, and improved use of technology to match visitor skills to jobs, has increased traffic to the site and helped to steadily boost visitor numbers.

September also saw the highest week ever for job applications with an average of 13.9 applications per vacancy, against an industry average of 6 applications per vacancy. The success of Drapersjobs.com strengthens EMAP’s belief that specific job sites engage communities through relevant content, and demonstrates their potential to target the right audience and achieve strong results for advertisers.

Caroline Nodder, Editor-in-Chief, Drapers, said: “Drapers provides fashion insiders with the latest news, trends, tips and expert opinions. As the voice of the fashion industry, we also play a vital role in celebrating its success and helping the industry to attract the very best of British talent.

“I’m delighted that DrapersJobs.com has become such an essential platform for employers and jobseekers alike for what is one of Britain’s most creative and competitive industries.”

Chris Campbell, Group Commercial Director for EMAP Recruitment said: “This is a fantastic new milestone for Drapersjobs.com further emphasising our position as the premium location for fashion job seekers and advertisers. EMAP recognises that job seekers are looking at relevant sites for relevant roles, and moving away from more generic sites where possible. In 2013 this will be emphasised with new investment in our network of niche sites.”

The success of Drapersjobs.com has also been recognised in a nomination for ‘Best Online Recruitment by a Trade Publication’ at the National Online Recruitment Awards, which will be held on 7th November. NursingTimesjobs.com, another EMAP brand has also been nominated in the same category.
