A morning event showcasing our latest research & development work

Throughout 2010 mobile web has been one of the most commonly discussed technologies within online recruitment. With the introduction of the iPad and with more tablet based devices entering the market, this trend is set to continue in the foreseeable future. We will look at what’s next for mobile and how to leverage your mobile audience to help generate revenues and create a multi-channel job board business.

Based on our success in the US with clients such as The Washington Post and Minneapolis Star Tribune, we will explore the concept of Job Scraping. Although this is not currently a widely used tool in the UK, job scraping enables job board owners to acquire and syndicate jobs with minimal effort. We will skim a stone over the main technological and commercial benefits job scraping can bring to your business.

As an expert in user experience, Dr Harry Bringull presents his research on Dark Patterns, designs that trick users into doing things they wouldn’t otherwise have done. His thought provoking insights demonstrate the pitfalls of poorly conceived design and how this negatively affects users

A morning event showcasing our latest research & development work

Join us for a few hours to share our latest research and development concepts. We will take an in-depth look at the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead, covering material from mobile devices through to real-time job notification.

Building a strong recruitment business in the ever-changing landscape of the web is both challenging and exciting. Waves of social and technological change can disrupt or enhance businesses very quickly. At Madgex, we are constantly thinking about new ideas to provide our clients with a range of options to suit their changing needs.

One of the growing themes of the past 6 months has been the diversification of web consumption onto mobile and tablet computers like the iPad. We’ll take you through how we’re tackling this change for our clients.

The rise of social media and its affect on recruitment has been much discussed, but little tangibly implemented. We’ll talk you through how we’ve identified some of the key elements of its success and applied it to the industry. We’ll also demonstrate some of our recent prototypes in interconnecting sites and data portability – concepts that we believe will provide the underpinnings for the slow, but real, change taking place in this area.

Digital opportunities for media and B2C companies

Using client success stories for case studies, Madgex and Abacus e-Media have come together to bring you this informative breakfast-time event. Our aim is to equip you with implementable ideas to create new revenue and profit streams, as well as saving costs.

In what Time magazine called ‘the decade from hell’, media and publishing companies have had some of the front seats on the economic roller coaster. Taking both hits to their revenues and profits in advance of others, equally they are always amongst the first to fight back. This two-hour seminar shows you how organisations with strong brands and engaged communities can relatively easily implement the tools to introduce new online revenue models with rapid ROI, as well as rapidly cutting costs through streamlining production and editorial processes.

As well as discussing the theory and implementation practicalities, we are proud to welcome clients who have proven the models on their bottom-lines.

In the pure ‘for profit’ world corporations are recognising that if they are to survive and prosper they need to listen and actively respond to their customers.
Openly working with your members not only retains their commitment to you but also provides genuine revenue-earning opportunities.

The combined experience of Madgex and SiftGroups in both the not-for-profit and commercial sectors provides a unique insight into how you can benefit from a genuine customer-focussed approach by building an engagement strategy rather than a marketing strategy.
