Madgex has taken the dual approach of developing both mobile web interfaces for our job boards and building native iPhone and Android apps. Mobile has now become a vital channel for job boards to engage and harness the increasingly growing number of jobseekers using mobile devices.

Mobile web apps

We provide mobile jobseeker web apps as standard with our job board software at no extra cost. Jobseekers using any mobile enabled device will automatically be re-directed to the mobile jobseeker site which renders to their device. The fully branded mobile site uses the full structure of your Madgex job board allowing jobseekers to search and apply for jobs from their device. We are currently in the process of developing our second generation web app built on HTML 5 technology which is due for release shortly.

 

Madgex iPhone notification app

Madgex’s push notification iPhone app was designed to focus on the strengths of how jobseekers use mobile devices. The application was designed around two key concepts, push notification and offline caching. The aim was to create an engaging user experience which prompts a jobseeker with new opportunities in real-time. The user can completely control their alert setting and preferences for example, only receiving alerts during set time windows. The app is able to cache job details within the device, allowing jobseekers to use the app even when they have no network access. This type of feature has proved popular for people using apps whilst travelling, or where connections can be lost from time to time. Below are a selection of our live iPhone apps:

Madgex Android app

Madgex’s Android app for jobseekers can be fully branded to your job board. The Android app uses a powerful new search API which harnesses the full power of your job board’s internal data structures, yielding the most accurate search results. The interface of the app has been designed so that the user can reuse previous searches and favourite jobs, reducing the need for text entry. We have worked hard to create a quick and easy search experience that is optimised for people on the move.
