The Challenge
The Guardian has been the market leader in recruitment press for nearly 20 years. In 2007 they wished to redesign guardianjobs.co.uk to offer a market leading online platform alongside their press products. The brief for the redesign focused on:
- Full integration with guardian.co.uk drawing passive jobseekers into guardianjobs.co.uk
- Increased candidate applications
- Improved customer service for recruiters
- Creating the best user experience possible
- Reducing operational costs
The Solution
After a competitive tender process, Madgex demonstrated that their expertise in complex integration with third party systems and ability to deliver everything that The Guardian were looking for, on our next generation platform.
Vastly improved faceted browse navigation refined the job searching process, with personalisation tools and clear calls to action set to increase jobseeker conversions. An intuitive recruiter services interface with campaign reporting, provided the opportunity for self–service management of recruiter accounts along with the provision of up–sell opportunities including keyword sponsorship. We were able to reduce operational costs for Guardian Jobs by providing them with a cost–effective, tailored solution inclusive of strong search engine marketing and a self–service ecommerce facility.
The Guardian are now looking into future development opportunities with Madgex
