Future innovations 2: A morning event showcasing our latest research & development work
Friday, 10th December, 2010 The Soho Hotel - 4 Richmond Mews, London
Throughout 2010 mobile web has been one of the most commonly discussed technologies within online recruitment. With the introduction of the iPad and with more tablet based devices entering the market, this trend is set to continue in the foreseeable future. We will look at what’s next for mobile and how to leverage your mobile audience to help generate revenues and create a multi-channel job board business.
Based on our success in the US with clients such as The Washington Post and Minneapolis Star Tribune, we will explore the concept of Job Scraping. Although this is not currently a widely used tool in the UK, job scraping enables job board owners to acquire and syndicate jobs with minimal effort. We will skim a stone over the main technological and commercial benefits job scraping can bring to your business. Expanding on the US market we welcome Terry Baker, CEO of Amped Market Place, to share his thoughts on the technologies shaping the US recruitment industry and the lessons we can learn.
As an expert in user experience, Dr Harry Bringull presents his research on Dark Patterns, designs that trick users into doing things they wouldn’t otherwise have done. His thought provoking insights demonstrate the pitfalls of poorly conceived design and how this negatively affects users
