Drapers Jobs by Emap

In the first 12 months the new Drapers Jobs site saw a vast improvement in uplifts across a range of key metrics. This clearly demonstrated that both jobseekers and recruiters were benefiting from the new range of features whilst also importantly increasing revenues.

The Challenge

Drapers has been the leading independent voice of fashion for 125 years. With such a highly respected brand the new Drapers Jobs site required a dynamic new design which embodied the Drapers distinctive brand. Alongside the design another key aspect of the project was to improve user experience which required the navigation to be overhauled to enable jobseekers to find jobs quickly and easily. Jobseekers are increasingly turning to mobile enabled devices to find their next role so the introduction of a mobile solution was also a key requirement. The launch of Drapers Jobs was part of a larger project by publisher Emap, part of The Top Right Group, to roll out a series of eight new state-of-the-art online and mobile recruitment jobsites aimed at candidates, recruiters and the HR community.

The Solution

The new look Drapers Jobs launched with a refreshed homepage design which features easily accessible search and browse navigation alongside featured jobs, featured recruiters and a range of jobseeker tools. By using a faceted navigations system it enables jobseekers to search for relevant jobs by selecting a range of criteria including salary band, location and job title that only ever displays live jobs. As part of Drapers Jobs suite of mobile services the site features a fully mobile enabled jobseekers site plus the option to download the free Drapers Jobs iPhone app. Both mobile options enable jobseekers to search and apply for jobs while on the move using their existing Drapers Jobs account and uploaded CV. The all new Drapers Jobs site launched in April 2011 and immediately results across the board start to increase.
